Tamara Bach was born in 1976 in Limburg. Today she lives in Berlin, where she already took part in the prestigious "Young Authors' Meeting" at the age of 17 and also studied German and English. Tamara Bach's novels were awarded with all the prizes and titles in the German-speaking world, including the Oldenburger Kinder- und Jugendbuchpreis, the LUCHS and the German Youth Literary Prize.

Melancholic longing and great expectations, everyday boredom and lust for life - hardly anyone writes about the trials and tribulations of growing up with such an intensity as Tamara Bach. Her reduced language, her courage to leave empty spaces, ther precise figure sketching, her look for details and her sense of unused, surprising images create a distinctive sound. Tamara Bach is able to say a lot, in a few words.
