Ondřej Buddeus, Czech Republic

Ondřej Buddeus, born in 1984, is a writer and translator from German and Norwegian. He is also the chief coordinator of the Czech Literature Center in Prague. He writes poetry as well as concept prose and likes to test new event formats with his literary projects. He also enjoys collaborating with other artists.

After publishing short story collections and a picture book for adults, his first book for children was released in 2013. It was developed in cooperation with illustrator David Böhm. Kopf im Kopf (Head in the Head) is a head-encyclopedia which offers informative and entertaining facts  one’s cranium that are worth knowing about.

Ondřej Buddeus will be accompanied by Tina Rausch, educationalist and literary scholar who also directs literary education workshops and writing workshops at the International Youth Library.
