Radek Malý (born 1977) is one of the best-known authors of modern children's and adult lyric in the Czech Republic. After studying Bohemian Studies and German Studies, he completed a doctorate in expressionist lyric of Georg Trakl and now teaches at the University of Olomouc. In addition, Radek Malý is responsible for the creative writing department focusing on children literature at the Czech Academy of Literature in Prague. He has also made a name for himself as a translator of Erich Kästner, Christian Morgenstern and Joachim Ringelnatz.
