In his heart, Goliath has just one wish: he would simply like to be like all the others. But that is not at all easy for a boy who has felt like an outsider from a very early age. Goliath is larger and stronger than his parents and all the other children. Whether he is on a bus, walking to school or in the boxing ring, he towers above the others and even makes some of them fearful. To find others who are like him, Goliath finally leaves the city. Along his journey, he meets the sea, the sun and the moon – and learns that we are all different and thereby unique. In this poetic modern fairy tale, Ximo Abadía relates the Old Testament story of Goliath in an endearingly new way and manner: “Goliat. En el mundo de las diferencias” is a reimagining of the Goliath motif in bright vibrant colours.
